Kingston DC500 Enterprise SSD (Review)

Kingston Data center DC500 series(DC500R/DC500M) is a SATA Enterprise SSD offered in two different endurance levels. R stands for Read-centric workloads and M stands for Mixed-use and those are closely tied to the endurance level of an SSD.

Typically a data center customer that’s looking to source SSD for their service and storage arrays, looks at performance and endurance. Most datacenter customers that are making that purchase probably already have an idea of the endurance level that they’re looking for in their SSD. They’re looking at either as a sub one drive right per day SSD or they’re looking for more endurance at either a drive right or a little bit over one drive right per day.

Kingston Data center DC500 SATA Enterprise SSD (DC500R/DC500M) comes in quite large capacities 480 GB, 960GB, 1.92TB, 3.84TB.

DC500R is going to be more for like say it would be the perfect solution for a web host where we upload files once in a while but realistically it’s all read data it’s all people visiting the website.

DC500M would be more for internal storage for business networks where we open a lot of files and saving those files back to network drives.
