Samsung 860 EVO is Samsung’s news of budget and SSD for the general consumer. It comes in 2.5-inch form-factor (standard SATA SSD), also it does come in MDOT- and SATA configurations as well. The capacities start from 200GB unlike the Samsung 850 EVO which starts at 128GB and this one goes all way up to 4TB including Samsung 860 EVO 500GB, 1TB, 2TB.
Difference between 860 EVO and 850 EVO?
The main difference between the two is the use of the new Samsung mjx controller in 860 EVO. In terms of the capacity of cache, the 860 EVO (250,500 GB) SSD has 512 Mb of ddr4 cache whereas 1TB has 1Gb, 2Tb has 2GB, 4TB has a 4GB cache.
It is powered by the latest Samsung V-NAND Technology. 860 EVO delivers a consistent sequential Read & Write speed of 550, 520MB/s respectively, with Intelligent TurboWrite technology. The TurboWrite buffer size is upgraded to 78GB from 12GB for faster file transfer.
The 860 EVO comes with advanced data encryption features. It is inbuilt with SED (Self-Encrypting Drive) security technology which helps in keeping the data safe all the time. The 860 EVO has an AES 256-bit hardware-based encryption engine to take care of all your personal files.

It has a pretty similar design as Samsung 850 EVO, fairly black aesthetic with the Samsung logo in the middle and the sort of Grey square on the bottom.
